An exuberant but biting Swedish've lived half my life in Malaga. I talk about my experience as a print and immigrants, discusses fun Spanish and Swedish phenomenon and offers tips on how to survive among southerners.
This is a small arroyo, a riverbed that is dry almost throughout the year. It is filled only by water when it rains in the mountains. After flooding to five years ago, has been built at all arroyos, to give the water a freer way. This was completely roofed and had outdoor seating on top!
Even lemon trees thrive. This is the tree with limones luneros, meaning they bear fruit once a month, year round. Most bars and cafes with outdoor seating set up these translucent plastic sheeting to protect against wind and rain. So you can enjoy hot chocolate and churros, even in the chill of autumn.
I have often thought about buying a small lemon tree to have as a house plant, but gave up the idea because I doubt that it would survive the winter. The air is too dry, even if I have the right light at home so it's probably not enough in all cases. Boring! 1:16 PM
Storms that of you too? Read namely online ritetemp manual that, "the worst storm in 80 years has hit the Swedish colony on the southern coast of Spain. 157 liters of rain per square meter fell - in just twelve hours. / ... / Live in the area a large number of Swedes, both temporary and permanent . " 3:59 PM
Cougar - no, I do not think the lemon tree works in Sweden. Know some who have tried, with poor results. Yes, it's raining and lightning pretty well. I live iofs quite far from the Swedish colony, but it seems to be a BIG cloud ;-) 5:02 PM
What fun to have this kind of nuanced ritetemp manual images of life in different countries. It's so easy to imagine life in Spain as sun all day all year round: P I myself am quite fond of the chill of autumn, as long as I do not have to freeze ... 10:24 PM
