Honeywell Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Chongqing Liangjiang New Area « Honeywell Now – Keeping you up to date on Honeywell
Honeywell and the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a joint innovation lab and promote Honeywell's advanced technologies ecofan 800 and solutions. Honeywell's advanced technology and experience in aerospace, building controls, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and safety and security will help the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area fulfill its important role in propelling economic development in central and western China.
Under the MOU, Honeywell will participate in, and provide technical support for, the design and management of Chongqing’s low-altitude airspace and fixed-base operators (FBO) construction, helping Chongqing develop as an international aviation ecofan 800 hub. Honeywell and the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area will jointly evaluate and develop opportunities for Honeywell's industry-leading turbine propeller engines to be deployed in civil aircraft manufactured in the Liangjiang region. Honeywell will also participate in joint research and development programs with universities, research institutes and large enterprises in the New Area and the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area will actively promote the application of Honeywell's advanced technologies and solutions, such as cloud computing, LED lighting , building automation controls and energy-saving optimization , in its own projects.
“The Chongqing ecofan 800 Liangjiang New Area, the first inland state-level new area, offers great potential and opportunities and is key to the success of China’s Go West strategy,” said Stephen Shang, president and CEO of Honeywell China. “I believe the signing of this memorandum will elevate our cooperation to a new level and represents an important milestone in Honeywell's ongoing commitment ecofan 800 to the economic development ecofan 800 of Chongqing and China's central-western region.”
